About NRT-MIDAS

Our National Science Foundation Research Traineeship (NRT) program focused on Computing and Data Science Training for Materials Innovation, Discovery, and AnalyticS (MIDAS) is based at the University of Delaware and Delaware State University. Graduate level students from Computer Information Sciences, Electrical and Computing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, and Chemistry work together to learn to use high performance computing and data science to discover, innovate, and analyze new synthetic and biologically relevant polymeric materials with tailored properties and function. About the Community Outreach Activities

Each year a new group or cohort of graduate students are selected for the NRT MIDAS program. During the first summer for each cohort of students, they work together to develop a community outreach activity. This activity is designed for our students to communicate to the community the science behind things we encounter in our everyday lives.
